I'm afraid this diary is getting sorta long - so I'll condense the rest of the vacation to point form:




Wednesday
-Browsed used cars on the net with Papa
-Went for lunch with Grammy, Papa and Rob at the Cottonwood Grill - mmm yummy - salad with duck breast!
-Spent a few hours at the Idaho Historical Museum ( I coulda spent all day there I'm sure!)
-Had our family dinner at Jo's - Trevor just made it with a patched together car - we had Ribs, mashed taters, salad, appetizers and pies for dessert.
-Took our first picture of all the Bateman siblings with their spouses - first time we were ever ALL together!! Speaking of which - family if you are reading this - no body has sent me a copy of that picture yet!!
-Went out to Amy and Casey's to spend the rest of our stay with them - outside the city limits.

- Met the cutest puppy in the world - Katie!!!

Thursday
-Had homemade breakfast with Casey and visited a bit
-Headed for the Caldwell Auto Mile to see what we could find for cars
-Spent 6 hours to complete a deal on a new car

-Replaced our 1997 taurus with a 2006 taurus - the only difference being the new body style, a spoiler, trip computer, power seat, aluminum wheels, and CD player.
-Returned to Amy's to visit and check out the export/import requirements for the car
-Went BACK to the city to fax the documents to the border and pick up some groceries for Amy then enjoyed dinner and a visit with her.
Friday -
-Went shopping/ sight seeing - we hit Farm and City, Corral West, Cabela's (Rob joined us here), then had lunch at Cafe Ole. On the way home we hit Sportsman's Wearhouse and Winco for groceries for dinner.
-Got back to Amy's in time to make supper for us and my friends Rachel and Aaron who came down from Baker - Elk roast with potatoes and carrots and cheesecake for dessert.
-Had a good visit around a game of Scattergories
Saturday -
-Had Yummy homemade breakfast all together with Amy and Casey - a Bateman sister's creation - sort of a strata with bread, eggs, bacon, and cheese, etc.
-Trevor, Aaron, Rachel and I headed to Boise and met up at "Horse Affairs" - a equine themed tradeshow with lots of demonstrations and mini-clinics. It was a very cool afternoon - I learned a bit even - but spent a lot of time coveting material possesions I'm afraid!!
-We had supper at TGI Friday's and then parted ways - Rach and Aaron headed home and we went back to Amy's
-Visited with Amy and Casey for a couple hours, put together the cradle and then headed for bed so we could be on the road in the early morning.

Sunday -
-We left bright and early and drove straight through to Lethbridge besides essential stops here and there for potty/food.
-Spent the night with Trevor's Uncle Ralph and Aunt Glenda
Monday -
-Had a brunch with a bunch of Trevor's cousins and their families.
-Headed for the feedlot and arrived around 2PM - where we visited with various employees - went out for supper and then headed for some much needed sleep.
Tuesday-Friday -
-Got up in the dark, worked in the cold until it was pretty much dark again - had some fun, got kinda cold, laughed a lot, talked a lot, saw lots of cows.....went out for supper and sank into bed - repeat X 4
Saturday -
-Picked up our cheques and said good-bye
-Hit the road
-Stopped in Swift Current for coffee with Lynnsey
-Rolled into the "Clark Hotel" around 9:30 and had a good visit
Sunday -
-Went to meeting in Regina
-Had lunch at Houston Pizza with Grandma Light
-Headed for home
-Got home around 9pm to a nice freshly plowed out driveway and yard - thanks so much Andrew!!
